World War One

A project to understand the impact of World War One on the area of South Lochaber.

As with many other groups up and down the country, Three Lochs Book and Arts Festival wanted to find a way to acknowledge the passing of 100 years since the end of World War One, and to commemorate those who were involved. We were able to secure funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to undertake an ambitious project within two of our local area High Schools, which culminated in the production of an evening of music, drama and poetry, which formed part of our Festival weekend in September 2018. Subsequently we went on to produce a commemorative book, a copy of which was gifted to each of the schools in the area.

Copies of the book are available to purchase for £10 each, with all proceeds going towards future Three Lochs activities. Please contact us at email info@threelochs.co.uk if you would like to purchase a copy.

You can view a selection of pages from the book here.
